“From the very beginning Jenn and the team at Ocken Photography were just as excited about our upcoming wedding as we were! Their evident excitement made them so much fun to work with. Throughout the engagement session, creation of our save the dates, bridal portrait session, and all of the wedding festivities Kenny and I always commented on how easy and effortless it was working with Jenn and the team. But fun and ease aside, the quality of our photos and albums were unparalleled. Jenn is not just a wedding photographer, she is an artist and this is obvious in the beautiful memories that she captures! We strongly recommend Ocken Photography to anyone seeking not just a photographer, but a team who will make your entire wedding experience more enjoyable.”

For Jenn and Mitsy Murphy (long time client and now a good friend), the connection at the beach yesterday was a serendipitous turn of events! The day started with a “Hey, how are you doing?” phone message from Jenn. Mitsy called back to reschedule their lunch plans for Jenn’s birthday because the whole family went to the beach on a spontaneous get-away! Coincidently, Jenn was on her way to the exact same beach… with cameras in hand (as always). Mitsy was floored. What are the odds? And like Jenn and her cameras, Mitsy had packed all her white shirts, khaki pants for boys, and her daughter’s sweet summer dress. So, after Jenn’s scheduled appointment she headed over to make some wonderful pictures of the Murphys.
“Every day I am reminded of how sweet life is,” says Jenn.”This was a perfect unexpected evening with good friends.”
Jenn says thanks to Lani, Nick, and Lawson for allowing her to visit and document the now9-month-old Lawson in the comfort of his own home. Jenn was blessed to be one of the first people to meet Lawson when he was born last September in Baton Rouge. She documented him at just one day old in the hospital.
“It is wonderful to watch children grow up,” says Jenn.
Joy and Scott’s wedding was just amazing at White Oaks Plantation. Check out how we can capture the details of the day, even as your story unfolds. The flowers and decor in these photos was designed by Fleur Du Jour in Baton Rouge, LA.
Thanks so much to Brad and Kristen for taking your Sunday afternoon and running around Baton Rouge with me to capture your engagement portraits. I am super excited for your wedding in October!!
“Jenn! It was such a lovely day and Lucas told me again that he likes you and
never wants to do his pictures ‘on the inside’ again. : ) I’ve never been
more excited to see the pictures — but I’m having fun imagining them in the

Jenn Ocken’s The Fine Art of Life show will be on display at Tsunami in Baton Rouge throughout the summer! The show opened on June 2nd, and we had a great time celebrating good art and good friends.
This week Jenn traveled up to Chicago to photograph a wedding at the Ivy Room and on her way she was stopped by the Wrecking Crew! It is always great to see good friends. She photographed the 2 Man Wrecking Crew — Cedric Burnside and Lightnin’ Malcolm — during her May Midwest tour.
