“Thanks so much for your amazing work. It was really a pleasure working with you. I love love love the pictures! You have truly captured the essence of the wedding. These are memories we will have for a lifetime and we really appreciate it!”

Fall is in the air. So I will be photographing in Humboldt Park as the colors evolve and posting at least one photo per day for the next 30 days (sometimes two, like today). I plan on staying inside Humboldt Park (the actual park, not the neighborhood), but I will not necessarily shoot only the fall colors. Enjoy the next thirty post!
Think you’ve waited a long time to start thinking about your wedding album? Tindley and Huw were married in 2002, and in fact they were the last wedding Chris shot completely on film. Wow.
Anyway, since getting married they’ve been to grad school, had two children, and moved several times, including an international move that has them currently making their home in Dubai. But this summer, while back in the states for a visit, Tindley decided it was time to get her album finished. You may recognize her, actually — friends of Ocken Photography have been enjoying her wedding photos for years. It’s Tindley with her dad that pops up first on the OP website and makes an appearance in many of our ads.
This summer we headed to storage, dug deep for the film scanner, and got to work. We’re thrilled to report that the story of Tindley and Huw’s wedding is no less beautiful today than all those years ago — and you don’t have to take our word for it.
So, if you’ve been waiting for just the right time — or if creating an album had slipped your mind completely (despite our gentle reminders) — please be inspired by Tindley and Huw and consider this your invitation to relive your wedding all over again. We would love to work with you to put together an album that tells the story of your day.
It seems I have been spending a lot of time with political types. Maybe I am getting ready to announce my candidacy for the Chicago mayoral race. I have to be better than most of the competition, right?
