Erin and Tony had the best attitudes when the rain came pouring down on us during their engagement portrait! Erin, owner of A Stem Above florists, knows that when it comes to wedding events, the show must go on — despite the weather — and she and Tony agreed to be flexible. We escaped under scaffolding and the El tracks at Lake Street and State Street and photographed away. The available light of the city and reflected light from the rain and puddles lent a special glow to the atmosphere and allowed us to create a beautiful set of portraits. Thanks so much to Erin and Tony for their fearlessness when it came to getting a little wet. We had a great session.

I LOVE them!!! I do not know how we will ever decide which ones to get. There are just so many I really love, I don’t know how I will ever choose. I can’t get over how much I love them. I can’t believe how wonderful the ones in the pool are too! I am already envisioning my wall in the kitchen.

Little Rock Fall Bridal Fair
For the first time since it began 10 years ago, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette will expand its popular January Bridal fair to include a fall event Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007.The event will be from 1-5:30 p.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock with the fashion show at 4 p.m.”Many vendors who were with us in January have already planned to attend, and we expect around 120 booths at the fair,” said Promotions Manager Tabitha Cunningham. The Bridal Fair is established as “the place” in Arkansas for brides to go to plan their weddings.”Our goal is to have one place for brides-to-be and their fiances to go to assist them in planning their dream wedding. They can book vendors, see their products or examples of their work and get to know the vendors’ personalities, all of which are important aspects of planning a wedding.”Admission is $5 and includes admittance to the fashion show at 4 p.m. Brides-to-be and grooms-to-be can register for prizes when entering the fair. There will also be a separate registration for those interested in participating in the Almost-Newlyweds game for a chance to win a prize. (Four couples will be chosen randomly at 2 p.m. —the game will follow shortly after.)

Bob Ocken was amazing! He played a major role in making my wedding day
less stressful. Not only is he an amazing photographer, but he is fun and personable. My whole wedding party loved him and loved hanging out with him throughout the day. He was there for me, and made that very clear from the beginning.

Ocken Photography did a wonderful job with our wedding. They were professional, easy to work with, organized and very laid back! They took all the anxiety and nerves out of wedding planning, and I knew the pictures from the day would be incredible — and they were!

Jenn and Chris were FABULOUS!! They were so pleasant to work with throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding was chaotic, horrible weather, and quite a few unexpected events, but they made the most of it and we could not be any more pleased with the way our pictures turned out.
