This photo was taken just a week before Anne’s most trusted friend, George, was laid to rest. Thanks to David, Rachel and Anna for letting Ocken Photography capturing this lasting memory of their beloved long time companion.
We are proud to publish our best wedding, portrait and commercial photography for 2010. The photographs are a mix of our all three of us, Bob, Chris and Jennifer, with some assistance thrown in for fun. This work comes from all over the world — Israel to northern Michigan. And yes, in hour hometowns of Chicago, Little Rock and Baton Rouge.
Working with Krystal Bennet of A Pinch of Lovely is always a joyful experience! Here at Ocken Photography we follow her blog weekly and have fallen in love with her style and grace as she walks us all through the latest trends with her amazing designs. Krystal lives and works in Baton Rouge but lately we have seen her work all over the nation! We are excited for the great things to come her way this year and excited for many great opportunities to work with her.

Maya Toral and David Yuen braved the November elements to head down to Sox Park for outdoor photos. Oh it was cold, but we persevered . Then we all headed inside to Union Station and finally back to the Hotel Palomar for the nuptials and reception. It was a bit cold but a great time for everybody, especially since we where watching football on a phone.
Huge thanks to Dan Jones at Films By Dan for his patience and dedication to excellence really gave us something to be proud to have out there as a face for Ocken Photography! And also to the Jesse Hiatt Band and Jesse’s song “I’m Ready.” We are really excited to have this original piece as a part of our promo! It expresses the upbeat excitement we have capturing photographs!
Both Dan’s cinematography and Jesse’s New Orleans style band are available for booking for your wedding celebration and events!
Also thanks to Lois Laurent, Danielle Laurent and James Huval and James Peck for also participating in creating such a wonderful promo!

2010 has been an exciting year at Ocken Photography, and as it winds to a close, we thank you for your business. We are gearing up for new weddings, more portrait and continuing with our corporate clients. We look forward to you all being a part of the new year to come.
All of us here at Ocken Photography, we wish you all the best this Holiday Season and much happiness in the New Year.
Another email conversation that really touched home this Holiday. We understand all too well everything you loose when a love one passes away. I am so honored and blessed everyday by my clients and my talent to document their life and relationships with my camera! THANKS SO MUCH for the reminder, Anne-Marie, that what we do as photographer means much more than we may know.

I just want to let you know the wonderful feedback we have gotten from our Christmas card this year! Everyone says it is the best one they have ever seen and they are asking who the photographer is. So just wanted to pass along the great comments we are getting!
Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Thank you so much for passing this along … if you don’t mind with a sample of your card, can we post this on the blog?
This makes my heart smile. You have a beautiful family and they make my passion come to life! Thanks again! If you have not already, you should be getting your frame from Charley very soon. I know he is done with it.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Sure, please feel free to use it on the blog! Thanks again for a job well done! I don’t know if I ever told you but my dad was a professional photographer/videographer who died the year after our wedding. I was so sad to think he will never be there to take pictures of my family. Thanks to you I have found someone that he would be proud of to fill his shoes for me.
