What personal data we collect

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitors IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Comments

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

We do not allow for the uploading of media to our site by users. However, if and image of you is uploaded to the website, we avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When a visitor fills out a contact form on the site we collect only the data shown in the input boxes, generally a name, an email address, subject information provided and a note provided. We also collect the submitters IP address to help spam detection. We collect and keep this data to help us communicate better with you and to let you know of special. We do not release or sell this data to any third parties.

Cookies

Who we share your data with

Should you opted to pay for our services though our website, your information will be shared with PayPal for the purpose of completing the transaction. This information is not stored on our website but transferred to PayPay.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

For contact form entries we keep all data indefinitely if you opt in to our newsletter, up to two years if you do not. We keep analytic records for up to two year and customer purchase information for ten years.
