Chris Ocken has photographed events from presidential elections to urban adventure races (which are more similar than you may realize), and has chronicled the stories of mothers, a governor and nurses who make house calls. His pictures have appeared in publications including The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek and the Chicago Tribune. He has worked with the Associated Press, Reuters News Pictures and with the documentary project Chicago in the Year 2000.

He is currently finishing an assignment that took him on a tour of Vietnam.
